Computer Technology Facilities

Students using computers Mercy College has an extensive computer network which provides support for the business and educational needs of the school.

Every student has access to considerable network resources including a full size PC computer lab; three specialist multimedia MacBook labs; 10 MacBooks in the Library; 20 MacBooks in the music room; 6 laptops in the Curriculum Centre; multimedia PCs with data projectors and sound systems in all classrooms; full high speed internet and secure email access; multi-media equipment such as scanners, digital cameras, laser printers and video capture equipment.

2009 saw the introduction of a 1-to-1 computing program for incoming Year 8 students. Using their own computing devices the students have full access to school resources via a wireless network that covers all classrooms and via remote access from home. The college employs four full-time Information Technology staff to support and maintain the operation of its technology infrastructure.
